Bukom Banku
Ghanaian boxer, Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, says he plans on retiring from the sport that has offered him so much fame and fortune for the better part of the last two decades.
According to Bukom Banku, he has less than two years in the game and believes the time has come to leave the stage and encourage younger boxers to carry the mantle forward.
Before his planned retirement though, Bukom Banku will be in action against Nigerian boxer, Kabiru on December 26.
The controversial Ghanaian boxer will take on the Nigerian in the top liner of the six bouts being organized by Kwahu Republic in partnership with Azumah Nelson Promotions at Kwahu Abetifi on Boxing Day.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Banku who boasts of an impressive record of 30 victories in 31 bouts vowed to give his Nigerian opponent a third round knockout.
“I have at least one and a half years in boxing and I am the star for this promotion, so I will not underrate this Nigeria boxer. I’m the third greatest boxer in the country so everybody should expect victory from me. I want to tell everyone that I will knockout the guy in round 3,” he said. .
