Bawumia Files Presidential Papers With EC Tomorrow

 

The stage is set for the 2024 presidential elections as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, prepares to file his presidential nomination forms tomorrow, Monday, September 9, 2024.

Dr. Bawumia, who is also the Vice President of Ghana, will submit his nomination forms at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission, marking a significant milestone in his journey to the presidency.

The Vice President’s decision to contest the presidency has been met with widespread excitement and support from the NPP faithful and the general public.

His leadership and vision for Ghana have been hailed as a beacon of hope for the country’s future.

Dr. Bawumia will be accompanied by his running mate and Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, as well as the Party’s National Chairman and General Secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and a few other party leaders.

After filing his nomination forms, Dr. Bawumia is expected to address party sympathizers and the general public at the NPP’s National Headquarters at 9 am.

This event is open to the public, and members of the party and the general public are invited to be part of this historic moment.

In a statement, the NPP’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, stating that it marks a significant moment in Ghana’s next chapter.

The NPP’s campaign slogan, “Possibility,” has become a rallying cry for the party’s supporters, who believe that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership will bring about a new era of prosperity and development in Ghana.

Dr Bawumia has already hit the grounds selling his campaign message as he has almost tour all the 16 Regions on a second round ahead of the upcoming 7th December polls.

The 2024 presidential elections are shaping up to be one of the most keenly contested in Ghana’s history, with several candidates vying for the top spot.

However, Dr. Bawumia’s experience, leadership, and vision for Ghana have made him a frontrunner in the race.
