The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame has made it clear that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, is the visionary leader the country needs as President because he possesses unique leadership qualities.
“We need a man who is focused and with a vision like Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia so let us all rally and vote massively for him on December 7 for him to become the next president of Ghana”, the Attorney General added.
Speaking at the launch of the NPP campaign team in the Effia Constituency of the Western Region, Mr. Dame asked Ghanaians not to make a mistake to bring John Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) back to power.
“This is because the NDC and former President Mahama have no vision and no good policies for Ghanaians,” he said.
He mentioned that the NPP’s social interventions such as the free Senior High School (SHS) policy, the One District, One Factory among others have gone a long way to help improve the living standards of Ghanaians.
He said the NPP government has outperformed the NDC in terms of infrastructural development and cited the completion of the Law House in Accra and the construction of the GNPC Operational Headquarters in Takoradi as examples.
“So it is important the NPP breaks the eight not for any selfish reasons but to guarantee the country’s bright future,” he pointed out.
He described the NPP Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Effia Constituency, Isaac Boamah Nyarko as a reliable and dependable person and called on the constituents to vote for him to become their next Member of Parliament (MP).
Mr. Nyarko pledged to work tirelessly to make the Constituency a stronghold of the NPP and no go area for the NDC.
He was very optimistic that the NPP would garner not less than 70 per cent of the total votes cast in the Constituency come December 7.
Joe Ghartey, MP for Essikado-Ketan who is also the Board Chairman of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) said the NPP candidate has much to offer the people of Effia.
He described the PC as very affable and the best person to replace NPP’s Joseph Cudjoe as the next MP for the area.
The Western Regional Chairman of the NPP, Francis Ndedesiah, was very hopeful that the NPP would win majority seats in the region after the next general elections.
“We will retain our nine seats of the 17 in the region and add some seats currently being occupied by the NDC,” he pointed out.
