The Boys Brigade Ghana Council has launched its Bible distribution campaign (Boys Brigade Bible Project) in Accra.
In a statement, its president, Moses Foh-Amoaning said, the initiative, in collaboration with the Bible Society of Ghana, themed ‘One Brigader, One Bible’, buttresses the council’s primary objective of advancing God’s Kingdom among boys.
It also forms part of activities marking its awareness month.
Guest of honour Dr. Joyce Aryee, who is also the immediate past president of the Bible Society of Ghana, lauded the leadership of Boys Brigade Ghana Council for the initiative.
She said, “I will make sure I do everything possible to push this agenda.”
She personally supported the campaign with several thousands of cedis for the purchase of the targeted thirty thousand Bibles expected to be distributed among boys in the country.
President of Boys Brigade Ghana, lawyer Moses Foh Amoaning said, “…each Brigader should make it to Heaven, the basic objective is the advancement of God’s Kingdom among boys. We will supply thirty thousand Bibles to the seven Regional Councils across the nation.
“We are also gearing up for the launch of the Boys Brigade soccer gala scheduled for this weekend. We are looking at arranging it under two categories- U-16 and U-20, with the aim of feeding the various national teams.”
