Boys Brigade Ghana Council has launched its social awareness month amid a well rehearsed parade and flag hoisting at the Ascension Presbyterian Church, Asylum Down in Accra.
President of Boys Brigade Ghana Council, Lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning, executives of the council and the leadership of the church conducted the parade inspection.
And predominant in the activities lineup is a gala and knock out football competition in U-16 and U-20 categories at the district, regional and ultimately the national level.
Lawyer Foh-Amoaning said after the launch, “The youth is about sports. We will be launching the football gala and kock out on March 19.
“We will run it at the U-16 and U-20 categories and that will be the biggest basis for operating the academy system.
“There are going to be regional launches.”
Themed “Making our Boys Brigade relevant to the needs of the youth of Ghana in our age”, a 30,000 Bible project launch in collaboration with the Bible Society of Ghana, Bible quiz competitions, clean-up exercises in partnership with Zoomlion Ghana and educational campaigns on COVID-19 are also part of activities rolled out for the month.
Boys Brigade Ghana primarily aims at advancing Christ among boys with an objective of repositioning it to a holistic development.
