THE Member of Parliament (MP) for Abetifi in the Eastern Region, Bryan Acheampong, has distributed 10,000 hand Sanitizers and 10,000 face masks to the Electoral Commission (EC) for onward distribution to the registrants in his constituency.
The Deputy Minister of State in charge of Interior made the donation when he embarked on a tour across the registration centres to monitor the process.
The deputy minister, last month, through the Kwahu – East Assembly, presented 122 thermometer guns, 1,683 hand sanitizers, 3,366 nose mask and 30 gallons of soap and veronica buckets for onward distribution in all junior high schools in the Kwahu – East District as part of government’s efforts to fight Covid-19 in schools.
He also donated 107,000 pieces of hand sanitizers at a tune of GH¢481,000, an amount of GH¢20,000 to each of the seven beneficiary district hospitals and a sum of GH¢200,000 as a regional contingency fund for other hospitals in the region.
He advised the public to adhere to the social distance protocols and to stay Covid-19 free as their lives matter and Ghana needed all of them alive.
