Adwoa Afumwaa, 68, who voluntarily released her piece of land for the construction of a school building, was killed in a bizarre circumstance by the bulldozer that was clearing the land to pave way for the project.
The victim was harvesting her farm produce on the land to pave way for the construction of a school when she was struck to death by the bulldozer that was working on site at the same time.
Seth Partey reportedly told the Akrokerri police that while clearing the land with the Komatzu bulldozer at Adansi-Wioso, the machine accidentally knocked and killed the woman.
Police confirmed later that the victim sustained a deep cut on the neck from which blood was oozing out upon preliminary examination.
The suspect, who works for Joshob Construction Company that is working on the Obuasi-Anwiankwanta road, is assisting detectives in investigation as the law enforcers await the outcome of autopsy examination.
Already, the family of the late Madam Afumwaa has been calling for justice.
