Grammy-winning Nigerian music star, Burna Boy, has gifted street-hop sensation Portable a whopping N20 million following his triumph in a much-hyped celebrity boxing match against rapper Speed Darlington.

The fight, dubbed “Chaos in the Rings,” saw Portable declared the winner after Speed Darlington failed to return for the second round, reportedly due to a broken arm sustained during the opening exchange.

The event, which had drawn attention for weeks due to the fiery exchanges between the two entertainers, ended dramatically when Speed Darlington’s corner called off the bout.

In the aftermath of the victory, Burna Boy — who has had a long-standing online feud with Speed Darlington — reportedly sent Portable the generous cash gift as a show of support and celebration. The ‘Zazu’ crooner took to his Instagram stories on Saturday to share the news with fans.

“20 million from @burnaboygram,” Portable posted. “If you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family.”

Later Portable was reported to have said Burner had not been picking up his calls after sending him the money.

While Burna Boy has yet to publicly confirm the gesture, Portable’s post quickly went viral, with fans praising the ‘African Giant’ for the unexpected show of generosity. Many also viewed the gift as a subtle jab at Speed Darlington, given the history of tension between the two artists.

The celebrity boxing match was the latest in a string of entertainment-driven sporting events in Nigeria, blending pop culture with sportsmanship and social media drama. Portable’s win adds another viral moment to his unpredictable career, and Burna Boy’s gesture has only added fuel to the conversation.
