Car snatchers

The regional commander told the media that on October 10, 2019, the command received information that Nkrumah and Oduro, who are ex-convicts and were on Police Wanted List, were using a Toyota Corolla S car with fake registration number GT 4041-16.

The suspects snatched the vehicle from its owner and were offering it for sale.

“Police feigned interest in buying the car and when they were about selling the vehicle to the men, they were arrested,” he said.

The Accra Regional Police Commander narrated that upon their investigation, the suspects mentioned Danso as the receiver of the stolen cars.

He said the suspects went on to confess that 15 stolen cars had so far have been sold to Danso.

“Two Toyota Corolla cars, one Hyundai Sonata and one Pajero, all suspected to have been robbed from victims, were retrieved from suspect Alex Danso,” he disclosed.

On October 10, 2019, police again received information that a group of armed robbers had snatched a Hyundai Grace bus with registration Number GR 4920-19 and were hiding it at   Ablekuma Fan Milk.

He said the police mounted surveillance until Aidoo and Haruna surfaced to work on the vehicle and were also arrested.
