CCIFG Holds Awards, Gala Night

Winners of the CCIFG Awards with Ambassador of France to Ghana H.E. Francois Pujolas and others

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry France Ghana (CCIFG), in partnership with Labadi Beach Hotel, has held the CCIFG Gala Night recently in Accra.

About 350 guests comprising high-profile corporate moguls and the deputy Chief of Staff graced event which saw the maiden edition of the CCIFG Awards.

The Gala Night created a platform for business executives to grow their network and take advantage of opportunities among a diverse group of co-professionals.

President of the CCIFG, Patrick Prado, said the Chamber promoted businesses in the Ghanaian and French markets and upgraded business support to companies.

About 40 French companies and other businesses benefited from the chamber’s support to enable them better understand and penetrate the local market.

Elaborating further on the successes of the French Chamber, which has grown to 120 members from 54 members in 2016, he said this year the chamber had organised three successful trade missions to Ghana.

Mr Prado also highlighted the impact of the Ghana Days Tour, which was launched in 2017.

The tour saw the Managing Director of the French Chamber visiting various regions in France and Lebanon to speak more about the Ghanaian market.

Samuel Abu Jinapor, who addressed the guests, focused on the collaboration of both countries and the importance of advancing the bilateral relations.

With Ghana surrounded by Francophone countries Togo, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, there is the need for the promotion of the French language.

“To this effect, the government is promoting bilingual education and testing it with five schools in the country.”

Six companies were awarded in six different categories for excelling among criteria outlined in each category.
