This year’s edition of the ‘Celebrities Worship Night’ was held last Saturday at the Trinity Baptist Church at Madina, near Legon in Accra.
The event, which was organised by actors, presenter and musicians, attracted a number of personalities like Rev. Mrs. Duncan Williams, Majid Michel, Pascal Amanfo, Martha Ankomah, Adjetey Annang, Pastor Isaiah, Cwesi Oteng, Ruth Benny Wood, Oheneba Clement, among others.
The event was organised to give the public the opportunity to enjoy a worship night with Ghanaian celebrities.
It was also an outlet for many others who have been blessed in other ways to turn up and rejoice with them.
Speaking at the event, actor-turned-pastor Timothy Bentum called on people suffering from addiction, rejection and temptation not to give up, but to be positive and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
According to him, God sometimes uses people with bad and evil character to change others and win souls for His kingdom.
He added that Ghanaian actors contribute to the development of the society through movies, therefore, people should not judge them by the roles that they play in the movies.
On his part, actor Majid Michel said he was impressed by the attendance and happy that many young people have given their lives to Christ.
He added that serving God is not easy, but one must not give up because the reward at the end of the sacrifice is huge and satisfying.
The programme attracted sponsorship from ASPA, Beautiful Beneath, Maji Fresh, Chop Shop, Glico, Silver Star Beads and others.
