Kwasi Adu Yeboah
The Chief Executive Officer of Conbimac Limited, Kwasi Adu Yeboah, who is working tirelessly to organise series of musical events to promote Ghanaian music to the outside world has disclosed he will soon organise seminars in Accra and Kumasi to upgrade the skills of Ghanaian musicians.
Speaking in an interview, Adu Yeboah said that for the past years his outfit has supported a number of celebrities in the creative arts industry and are currently making an impact on the scene.
He stressed that his outfit is committed to nurturing music makers throughout their careers and instituting training programmes which would be aimed at sharpening their skills.
The CEO noted that the creative arts industry, which has immense potential to contribute to the growth of the country’s economy, has not been given the needed attention by key players.
According to him, in some African countries, the industry has over the years become an avenue for creating employment for the stakeholders and the ordinary people, adding that stakeholders should come together and work as a team to promote Ghanaian music in order to create more jobs.
Outlining some of his plans for the industry, Adu Yeboah said “as a stakeholder in the creative arts industry in Ghana, I am working tirelessly to make sure that Ghanaian music wins international recognition. I have already discussed with some music producers who are ready to assist Ghanaian musicians to do collaborations with some international music acts in Europe and America”.
He said his outfit would liaise with national and international booking agents to secure gigs for Ghanaian musicians, adding “my outfit will create networks across the globe to pursue the job creation agenda for Ghanaian musicians”.
He, however, called for unity in the creative industry so that with one voice, they could be heard well by the outside world.
