Chichi Neblett Eyes Big Break With ‘Brown Sugar’

Chichi Neblett

Actress Chichi Neblett is hoping to make a big break with her first and newly produced movie ‘Brown Sugar’ (The Wedding).

On September, all roads will be leading to the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra, where the new movie will be premiered in Ghana after it was successfully premiered in Liberia.

‘Brown Sugar’ is a Bally B & Harochi Production that exposes some of the ills would-be couples engage in before they finally say ‘I do’.

It features some of Africa’s amazing actors from Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria and The Gambia.

Among there are IK Ogbonna, Chichi Neblett, Toosweet Annan, Princess Shyngle, Roselyn Ngissah, Beverly Afaglo-Baah, Jay-Pee Labur, Grace Weah and others.

The premiere will have two sessions – 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Red carpet will be held at both centres, with the cast and crew gracing the Accra Mall first for photographs with movie-goers and later join the Accra Mall audience.

Chichi told NEWS-ONE she is working very hard behind the scenes to make the premiere a big event.

Chichi has been in Ghana’s movie industry since 2005 after her debut role in AA Production’s ‘Puncher Hole’.

She subsequently appeared in other movies, including Venus Films ‘Mummy’s Daughter’. But she went off the scene in 2007 to have a baby. She returned in 2009 and has since featured in a number of movies like ‘4play’, ‘Reason To Kill’, ‘Who Loves Me’ and others.

‘Brown Sugar’ is her first produced movie as she joins the league of actresses who have gone behind the scenes to produce aside acting.
