Mzbel
Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, known in showbiz as Mzbel, has spoken again about Christianity after she was severely mauled a few years ago for saying she does not believe in Jesus Christ.
This time, her thought about Christianity has gone beyond her disbelief in Jesus Christ; she thinks Christianity is idol worship.
“Me, I think it is idol worshipping because I wonder why people will put an image of a white man in their chapel and worship it. Some even have to picture the image in their minds while praying,” she reportedly told Zionfelix on Celebrity Ride.
She explained she doesn’t believe in Jesus because God is a merciful God who doesn’t need to kill another person to forgive others’ sins.
However, Mzbel said she believes those who practise Christianity may have reasons they are in that religion, but she will never go back to it.
“I believe in God but I don’t believe we have to pray through Jesus through God. I don’t believe that Jesus is God. But from Sunday school, people have been taught about Jesus so it is difficult to change their mind,” she added.
Mzbel said after not being content with Christianity, she tried other religions, including Hare Krishna, and realised it was also akin to paganism till she later met a Jewish teacher that took her through the Old Testament of the Bible.
According to her, the Old Testament is more applicable and realistic to science and human life. Also on the show, Mzbel disclosed that she likes to date old men than the young ones.
The ‘Saucy Gal’ singer also disclosed that she has dated more old men in her life because they are caring.
“I am an old man’s girlfriend. Everybody in Ghana knows that I don’t date young guys. If you are a young guy and I date you, I might break your heart.
I like old men. They are very gentle,” Mzbel stated. She added her love for the old men also has to do with the fact that they don’t like too much sex.
“They don’t also like sex. They can’t even have sex for long. You know, I don’t like sex like that. I like sex once in a while,” she quipped.
