Cjay Rokoto
Musician Cjay Rokoto celebrated his birthday last week Wednesday with orphans at the Teshie Orphanage in Accra, where he donated some items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to underprivileged children.
In addition, he also gave an undisclosed cash amount for their upkeep.
“Giving back to the society is one thing every individual should try to do, it doesn’t matter how big or small. It has always been one of my biggest dreams to support the less privilege,” he said after the donation.
“At the moment I have a new song to be released very soon and it talks about love, help and good heart. So in other way, I did this to set an example for the message I am sending with my music,” he added.
Cjay Rokoto, born Isaac Adjetey, is half Ga and half Fante.
He is one of Ghana’s rising musicians who enjoys doing Afro-pop and highlife music.
He started recording in 2007, and has since worked with some of Ghana’s great artistes, including Castro and others.
Some of his songs are ‘Rokoto’, ‘Wedding Day’ and ‘You Don’t Know’.
