Clozar, an organisation with specialty in helping businesses sell, pay, and deliver across borders has marked it first anniversary in the country.
Clozar Co-Founder, Abioye Oyetunji, speaking at the company’s anniversary event in Accra said Clozer has in the past 12 months gone beyond its core mandate to build a bridge connecting local businesses and international clients.
“Today, I’m proud to say that Clozar has successfully bridged the cross-border commerce gap within Africa and beyond. Ghanaian businesses can now sell to customers all around the world without worrying about payment systems, customs, vendor trust, or even language barriers,” he said.
Mr. Oyetunji mentioned that by 2030, Clozar will be one of the most exciting and fulfilling places to work indicating that it is a hub where creativity, innovation, and community meet.
The company also launched the GH¢1m Clozar Entrepreneurship Fund as it commits to empowering micro, small and medium sized enterprises in the country.

Technology and Innovation, Emmanuel Ofori, congratulated Clozar on the tremendous strides made within a short period.
“In just one year, you have successfully transformed an ambitious vision into a robust and impactful platform now supporting businesses across Africa, East Africa, Europe, and Asia,” he stated.
Mr. Ofori also commended the launch of the GH¢1 million Clozar Entrepreneurship Fund stating that such initiatives are the engine driving both national and regional economies.
“At the ministry, we view innovation as a key enabler of inclusive economic growth. It is in this spirit that we remain steadfast in our 1 million coders programme, which is aimed at equipping young Ghanaians with relevant digital skills that are industry aligned.”
