The Coalition of Muslim Organisations Ghana (COMOG) last weekend honoured a Council of State member Engineer Aminu Amadu.
The honour done the Council of State member was informed by his contribution towards the Islamic faith and his outstanding stature as a role model among members of the faith.
Excerpts of the citation read, “There are a few Muslims of your generation blessed with a solid Islamic background and a sound secular education. There are a fewer of your type with genuine love for Muslims and commitment to their welfare. You have over the years been a strong advocate for Muslims in your position as a member of the Council of State. We can only imagine the immense benefits your advocacy is to Muslims in Ghana.
“As you demonstrate your love for Islam and Muslims in Ghana, COMOG has a duty to recognize your efforts as an Advocate of Muslims in Ghana. COMOG has a duty to recognize your efforts as an advocate of Muslims in Ghana. May Allah accept, reward and bless your efforts for Islam, and give the Ummah the likes of you.”
Every year, COMOG organizes programmes during the month of Ramadan where outstanding Muslims are honoured.
