Cop Interdicted For Possessing Tramadol

 

The Ghana Police Service has interdicted G/L/Cpl Shani Abdullai, for being in possession of restricted pharmaceutical substances at Kpalsi, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.

According to a police statement, his interdiction is to allow for thorough investigation into his conduct in line with Police Service regulations.

G/L/Cpl Shani Abdullai was arrested by a citizen-led taskforce formed to help fight the sale of illicit drugs in Tamale, in the Northern Region.

The arrested police officer is said to be involved in the distribution and sale of illegal pharmaceutical to some youth in the Tamale metropolis.

He was arrested by the citizen-led taskforce with six (6) boxes of illegal pharmaceutical suspected to be tramadol.

In a viral video sighted by DAILY GUIDE, the police officer is heard saying, “I am a police personnel by profession stationed at the Sakasaka police station.”

The said police officer admitted to selling the illegal pharmaceutical, noting, “I started selling this less than 6 months now.”
