John Mahama
The NDC, as we keep saying, has no pragmatic policies to change the fortunes of Ghanaians. John Mahama keeps shifting the goalposts anytime he hits a stone wall, like his 24-hour economy which crashed.
Now, graduates of the free SHS are making waves across the world, and to share in that glory they have changed their tongue and assuring that a future NDC government would implement it better.
We keep reminding Ghanaians to be wary of NDC deceit and refuse to fall for it because education is the leveller that provides equal opportunities for the poor and the rich. The NDC, although it calls itself a social democratic party, is against moves to build an inclusive society. Hence, they do not want free SHS so that about 40 percent of BECE graduates would drop out of school.
Thanks to President Akufo-Addo’s visionary leadership, there is a SHS graduate in every home or family. We think that if government decides to use all oil revenue for the education of our children in SHS, it should be encouraged to have an enlightened and knowledgeable society.
Let us watch the NDC for its agenda to once again lead the people astray. John Mahama is hunkering around the country promising that he would be a trustworthy leader. We ask him this simple question whether during his tenure from 2012 to 2016, what type of leadership did he offer? If indeed he offered leadership of trust, why do we have to deal with Official One in the international media and the bribery scandal involving the Ford Expedition among others?
John Mahama takes us for granted and that is why he has mounted billboards in the city of Accra talking about dumsor, promising to fix it when for more than four years Ghanaians experienced dumsor under his watch.
And given the opportunity to talk to the people about dumsor, he claimed the increased use of mobile phones and television sets have increased power consumption across the country, causing dumsor. He again told Ghanaians that if we desire an end to dumsor then we must pay more for power.
John Mahama during his tenure as President never respected Ghanaians but took them for granted. And now for the sake of seeking a return to the Jubilee House, he is on the prowl telling the people to give him the opportunity because he has the experience and perhaps the magic wand to turn things around.
We ask Ghanaians whether they want to vote for John Mahama to experience his abysmal leadership that was crowned by over four years of dumsor and the disregard for the needs of the people. We think Ghanaians are tired of the consistently inconsistent John Mahama whose short memories make him forget about the hardships the many Ghanaians including teacher trainees and nursing trainees suffered under his leadership, not to think of head porters from his home region of Northern Ghana.
Instead of giving these vulnerable people skills, he preferred sharing head pans to them to continue to play the dehumanising “kayayei” trade. The progressive leader like Veep Mahamudu Bawumia thinks that the future of the “kayayei” lies in giving her skills training but not head pans.
John Mahama needs to be watched, and he must be watched in order that the people do not surrender their future into his hands.
