The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has launched her 2020 manifesto in the run-up to the upcoming elections.
The 101-document dubbed, “Leadership of Service, Protecting Our Progress, Transforming Ghana For All–Dome-Kwabenya In Perspective” outlined the plans of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP for the constituency in terms of embarking on infrastructure and social intervention programmes.
It also highlighted the achievements of the MP over the past eight years of her tenure in various sectors of development.
Speaking at the ceremony, the MP said the idea for a constituency manifesto was in line with disseminating the 2020 NPP Manifesto to help constituents take advantage of government policies and initiatives going forward.
“We have done a lot when it comes to roads, education, health, among others,” she said.
She described the NPP as a party that believes in the youth and women as key stakeholders to the development agenda.
“The power belongs to the youth that is why we have to give every child education. This will make every child important to fit into the society and to contribute to our socio-economic development,” she pointed out.
She relished the prospects of the country under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo, saying, “We are going to transform Ghana and put Ghana on a different level and win the battle ahead of us.”
In attendance was the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga East Municipal Assembly, Janet Tulasi Mensah, and some NPP constituency executives led by party chairman Robert Osei Bonsu.
