Dordep Wins Ghana’s Gentleman

TWENTY-THREE-YEAR-old Bismark Dordep, a student of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has emerged victorious in the inaugural Ghana’s Gentleman competition, organised by the Nuel Initiative.

This landmark event celebrated not just fashion, but the essence of modern masculinity, highlighting qualities such as leadership, culture, and integrity.

Dordep stood out among a fierce group of competitors, ultimately claiming the coveted crown, a cash prize, and an all-expenses-paid trip as part of his winning package.

The competition featured a series of challenges designed to test contestants on public speaking, cultural awareness, philanthropy, and social consciousness.

Dordep’s eloquence and effective communication skills captivated both judges and the audience alike, solidifying his status as a true gentleman.

In addition to his overall victory, Dordep’s innovative sanitation pitch earned him the Kwame Nkrumah Award for Best Project Pitch. He also snagged accolades for Man of Eloquence, Congeniality, and Glam King.

From over 100 applicants, the field was narrowed down to 50, then to 15, before finally revealing the top 5 finalists.

Ampofo took home the title of 1st runner-up, followed by Antwi in second place, while Omari and Kwamena rounded out the top four.

Speaking with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Nuel Initiative, Emmanuel Adomako, he said the vision behind this empowering event was his desire to cultivate genuine gentlemen who can inspire 21st century Ghanaian youth.

“Ghana’s Gentleman has redefined male pageantry by promoting elegance through intellect and cultural heritage, proving that being a modern gentleman is about much more than just sartorial flair—it’s about embodying values that uplift society,” he said.

The competition was hosted by beauty queen, Asiedua and Quecy Sunday.
