Youth & Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah has scored full marks for construction works on the Dormaa Youth Resource Centre.
During his second inspection of the Dormaa Ahenkro facility yesterday, he said, “What makes this centre exceptional is the additional facility of a hostel; fantastic job done by the contractors, it is on point and I am impressed about the quality of work; our dream of hosting our national teams at all the regions is on course.
“We have resolved to tackle the fundamental issues that have accounted for sports nosedive, hence the construction of these facilities across the nation. Never in the history of Ghana have we done such constructions. It can host about 25 disciplines. It is, indeed, legacy projects for the Akufo-Addo administration,” Mr. Asiamah disclosed.
He was accompanied by the Health Minister & MP for Dormaa Central, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu; MCE Prof. Peter Twumasi, NSA Boss Dr. Owusu Ansah, MOYs Technical Director and others.
The facility houses a football pitch, tartan tracks, volley/ basketball courts, a hostel facility, IT centre, library, canteen and counselling centre.
The minister and his team are expected to inspect the Yendi facility today.
