The management of Kasapreko Company Limited has, in a communique issued on November 1, 2022, decided to double the salaries of all its staff, permanent and casual.
In a memorandum to all staff, contractors and casual employees, the company notes that the prevailing economic challenges have made it imperative for the welfare of the workers to be cushioned.
The memorandum which was signed by Richard Adjei, the Managing Director of the company, reads:
Dear Colleagues,
In view of the recent economic volatilities in the country which are affecting the wellbeing of staff, management is gravely concerned.
In addition to other measures taken to cushion staff and their families in the face of these challenges, management is announcing the payment of Double Salary to all permanent, contract and casual employees in November, 2022.
It is Management’s expectation that this payment would bring relief to all staff and their families as we all weather these challenges.
Ghana’s economy has been reeling from the global economic downturns resulting from COVID-19 and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. As a result of these, inflation has hit a record high with people’s purchasing powers taking a hit.
Kasapreko Company Limited has, therefore, seen the need to ameliorate the sufferings of its workers with this decision to double their salaries at the end of November.
