Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Special Ice Company, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, was the biggest winner at the 2019 Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards.
He was adjudged the ultimate man of the year at the awards ceremony which was held on Saturday night at the plush Kempinski Hotel in Accra on Saturday night.
“I feel excited and honoured for winning this award as I join other recipients of the award. Growing up as a man in the ‘80s, I never thought I would ever stand before a crowd full of important people to receive such an award, I’m grateful to God for bringing me this far.
There’s a saying that no man is an island and I believe that no successful man did it by himself. I’m successful today through the support of my family, my staff, my friends and Ghanaians who patronise my products,” he said when he received the award.
Dr. Sarpong won the award because he is a man who is very impactful in society; a change exponent, responsible paterfamilias and mentor, an innovator, a visible team player, a certifiable gentleman and a pillar of community.
