Some Ghanaians interacting with the Iranian exhibitors
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA), in association with Dubai Health Experience (DXH), Emirates Hospitals Group and Neuro Spinal Hospital, has held its first ‘Dubai-African Partnership for Better Health Roadshow 2017’ at the Kempinski Hotel, Accra.
The theme for the two days event was ‘building strategic partnerships and the exploration of a range of services that Dubai-based health and medical providers have to offer the continent of Africa’.
Fifteen exhibitors from Dubai comprising of surgeons, cosmetologists, paediatrics, orthopaedics, neurologists obstetrics, gynaecologists, among others, including specialists, took part in the two-day event which started on Monday.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, administrative officer of the Dubai Medical Tourism Council, Nishoo Ghosh, stated that the Africa health roadshow which is targeted at Africa is expected to take place in several African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Addis Ababa, Kenya, Cape Town, Morrocco and South Africa.
Ms Ghoosh further explained that the health roadshow aims, among other things, at making Dubai healthcare services available to Ghanaians.
She further mentioned that the show is expected to be attended by all Ghanaians, especially people in the travel and tourism industry who specialise in travel solutions, pharmaceutical industry, doctors and persons working in the healthcare delivery services.
According to Dr Naser Mozafari, Director General of Iranian Hospital, the roadshow has a lot to offer to the African continent.
