The Electoral Commission of Ghana has officially released the certified voters register for the 2024 general elections.
According to the data, the total number of valid voters stands at 18,774,159, comprising 18,640,811 voters with biometric data, 131,478 special voters, and 1,870 voters without biometric data.

The Electoral Commission has assured that the voter register is robust and credible, with measures in place to ensure accountability and transparency.
In a statement, the commission’s Deputy Chairman of operations, Samuel Tettey, explained that some polling stations were administratively closed, resulting in 884 voters being excluded from the Absent Voters List.
However, their records are securely maintained within the Voter Management System.
This development comes as Ghana prepares for the 2024 general elections, with the Electoral Commission committed to delivering free, fair, and transparent polls.
