The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has rewarded 15 loyal companies in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital to mark its 50th Anniversary.
The companies, who fall under the Special Load Tariff category of ECG customers, were presented with nice plaques and EC souvenirs on Wednesday.
The companies have consistently paid their electricity bills to the ECG and this informed the decision of the management to reward them in grand style on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee anniversary.
The companies include Kumasi City Mall, Rose Tree Hotel, Donyma Steel Company, Latex Foam, Guinness Ghana Limited, Sethi Manufacturing, Minels Ventures Oak Plaza and Trade Wind Chemist.
The remaining companies, who fall under the Special Load Tariff of the ECG, are DBS Industries, Olam Ghana, Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi, Hanmax Veeneer, Moumi Ghana Limited and Fan Milk Ghana Limited.
Joseph Amakyi, ECG Ashanti Regional Director in charge of the Strategic Business Unit, disclosed that ECG’s 50th Anniversary is themed, “50 Years of Powering the Socio-Economic Growth and Development of Ghana.”
He disclosed this while making a presentation to officials of the Kumasi City Mall on Wednesday morning.
He said the ECG appreciates the extraordinary support of the 15 companies.
Ing Amakye said the ECG is currently rewarding its loyal companies across the country for prompt payment of bills, among others.
