Eddie Nartey and his wife
Actor, director and producer, Eddie Nartey, tied the knot in a private ceremony in Accra with Vida Danso over the weekend.
The marriage ceremony has taken place six years after he was allegedly stabbed in 2012 for cheating on his then girlfriend, Miss Abali.
Saturday’s traditional marriage ceremony was held at the Kings Cottage at Trassaco in Accra and some of the crème de la crème of Ghana’s movie industry were present.
Among them were Van Vicker, Prince David Osei, Pascaline Edwards, Juliet Ibrahim, Harry Bentil, Sonia Ibrahim and many others.
The ceremony was strictly by invitation, and it was held on the blind side of the media until some of the celebrities who attended the wedding ceremony started posting photos on their social media platforms.
Eddie, born on November 6, 1984, remains one of Ghana’s great actors.
He also directs and produces. His supporting role in Frank Rajah’s ‘Somewhere In Africa’ earned him a nomination at the Hollywood and African Film Critics Awards (NAFCA) and Ghana Movie Awards. He was nominated in the best actor category for ‘Kiss Me If You Can’.
He got his first opportunity to do his directorial debut entitled ‘Could This Be Love’, where he co-wrote the movie with Evelyn, which cast actors like Majid Michel, Kwadwo Nkansah (Lil Win), Nana Ama McBrown, Fred Amugi and Gloria Sarfo.
He later collaborated with Juliet Ibrahim on the movie, ‘Shattered Romance’. He then wrote and directed ‘Royal Diadem’ and others.
Eddie has been in the movie industry for over a decade and made his screen debut in the movie, ‘Wedlock of The Gods’ by Venus Production, and he has since never looked back.
He had a rocky relationship with Miss Abali, who allegedly stabbed him for allegedly cheating on her. He has since kept his love life off showbiz circles.
There is scanty detail about his newly-wed wife, Vida Danso. But other media reports claimed they have dated for a very long time.
NEWS-ONE is yet to confirm if she is the same lady Eddie cheated with in 2012.
