The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu, Kwabena Boateng, has donated 100 bags of cement to the Ejisu Senior Secondary and Technical School to support the construction of a perimeter wall around the institution.

The project, according to school authorities, will help secure the campus from intruders and create a more conducive environment for academic work.

Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony, Mr. Boateng said the donation formed part of his commitment to improving educational infrastructure across the constituency.

“As a beneficiary of education myself, my priority since becoming MP has been to use available resources to support schools with essential facilities, including classrooms and computer laboratories, so that both teachers and students can enjoy effective teaching and learning,” the MP stated.

He further pledged to extend similar support to all Junior and Senior High Schools in the area, stressing that education thrives when authorities provide the right infrastructure and learning tools.

“It is important that those of us entrusted with leadership roles contribute to equipping schools with the facilities they need, so we can achieve positive outcomes during examinations,” he added.

School’s Gratitude
The Headmistress of Ejisu Senior Secondary and Technical School, Mavis Asamani, expressed appreciation for the donation, noting that the absence of a proper fence has posed challenges for the school.

She explained that stray animals frequently interrupt classes, while some individuals use the compound at night for undesirable activities such as smoking and loitering.

“We are grateful to Hon. Kwabena Boateng for this timely intervention. As we prepare to celebrate our 35th anniversary, we also appeal to past students and other stakeholders to support the school in constructing staff bungalows to enable teachers to stay on campus and provide closer supervision for students,” Mrs. Asamani said.

The MP was accompanied to the ceremony by constituency executives, including Chairman Kofi Ampofo Agyapong, assembly members, electoral area coordinators, and party supporters.
