Winifred Esi Sam, a 22-year-old fashion model and entrepreneur, is gearing up to represent Ghana at the 24th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, set to be held at Okada Manila, Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines, on November 9, 2024.
The talented fashion model and entrepreneur is expected to showcase the beauty and rich heritage of Ghana on the international stage.
Esi Sam carries with her the hopes and dreams of Ghana, a country renowned for its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and incredible natural beauty.
“My journey is not just about me; it’s about our planet,” Esi declared passionately. “Let us unite to protect and preserve our environment, promote sustainable practices, and celebrate the beauty and diversity of all individuals. Together, we can make a difference.”
Born and raised in the coastal community of Saltpond in the Central Region, Esi Sam proudly embodies the resilient spirit of Ghana and her Fante culture.
With a background in Public Administration, she is not only a beauty queen but also a confident advocate for environmental sustainability and body positivity.
Reflecting on her journey, Esi Sam shared, “I was always seen as a cherished gift from God, a title my dad fondly called me. Overcoming personal challenges has fueled my passion for advocacy and embracing my unique self.”
Her childhood was filled with love and support from her community, especially through her active involvement in church activities, she told NEWSONE.
Early experiences in reading the gospel, reciting poems, and public speaking helped shape her confidence and ignited her passion for communication and leadership.
