The leadership of the Event Vendors Association Ghana (EVAG) has launched activities for this year’s Event Industry Conference (GEIC) awards to be held in Accra.
According to the lineup of activities for the GEIC Gala and Awards on November 15, 2023, nominations will kick off on July 3 and end on August 3.
Voting will take place from September 4 to 30. The vetting for the winners also starts on October 4 to 10.
EVAG also revealed that for the first time, the two-day conference will be held in Takoradi from November 7 to 8, 2023 with fun-packed activities.
At a brief press launch in Accra, the President of EVAG, Mrs. Kate Hassan, averred that since the inception of GEIC awards, the event industry has witnessed tremendous growth in performance and productivity as stakeholders within the event organisation value chain are influenced to provide the best of services to clients to earn the honour awards.
She added that this year’s event is themed “Adaptability and Implementation,” which speaks about the challenges faced by stakeholders.
“The theme seeks to inform event organisers, planners among others on how to quickly learn various skills, processes, or technologies, and the willingness to change or grow your businesses. It also explains how to successfully implement plans that are tailored to the specific needs of your business,” she explained.
Mrs. Hassan called on members of the EVAG as a matter of urgency to render their services to support this year’s activities.
“We also call on non-members of EVAG to register and contribute to the development of the event industry in Ghana,” she added.
