Fella Makafui on set
Ghanaian actress, Fella Makafui, has secured a leading role in the second season of the hit Nigerian Netflix series, ‘Anikulapo’.
The series, directed by renowned filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, will be available to audiences in over 191 countries on Netflix.
In June, Afolayan announced that the second season of the award-winning series would be filmed in Ghana, highlighting the country’s growing prominence in the African film industry.
The series, set in pre-colonial times, weaves together historical narratives and cultural elements from West Africa.
Fella took to Instagram to celebrate this achievement, revealing that she will portray the character Abena in the highly anticipated new season.
The actress expressed her excitement, describing it as a significant milestone in her career.
