Edwin Gadayi raced spiritedly to emerge tops in the GNPC Ghana Fastest Human edition of the Upper East /West and Northern regions meet in Tamale on Sunday.
He finished the heat in 10.11 ahead of Salifu Gafaru, Northern, 10.75 , Sarkordie Derrick, UDS, 10.79 and Asigiri Enock, BATCO, 10.82 in that order in the seniors category.
Mary Boakye recorded 11.66 to dominate the ladies seniors category, while Christiana Bakika, UDS, Northern, 12.72
Sakat Lariba, Upper East ( Bolga SHS) 13.49 followed.
Nicholas Samari ( Northern) recorded 9.20 to emerge winner in the boys U-10 event, while Seidu Hamida, Ridge B School ( Northern) 9.79 won the girl’s U-10 version.
It was Issahaku Barikisu, Northern,11.88, who grabbed the ultimate in the girls U-18 category, with Alhassan Seidu Razak, Northern, 10.30 making it to the top in the boys event.
Awam Umaa Sakina, Upper East, 12.76 won the girls U-15, while
Mohami Alhassan, Northern, 11.59 finished first in the boys event
Ghana Fastest Human founder, Reks Brobby, described the event as successful and expressed thanks to headline sponsor GNPC for their unflinching support.
The Ghana Fastest Human initiative is a seven-year project aimed at reviving 100m race in schools.
