Gasmilla
Popular hiplife artiste, Odartei Milla Lamptey, known in music circles as Gasmilla, will hold the maiden edition of an event dubbed “Abele Fest” on October 8 at the Alliance Francaise in Accra.
The event aims to leverage music to educate the world about the cultural dynamics of the Ga community.
It promises a day packed with activities ranging from fashion, food and cultural display. One of the core exercises includes the preparation of Kpokpoi (the spiritual meal of the Ga people signifying the end of hunger).
Gasmilla, who will headline the festival, will rock the stage alongside acts such as Cina Soul, Apaatse, Adani Best, Luta, Long Life, Papillon Blood, Kokui Selormey, Marince Omario and a host of others.
Born in December 1984, Gasmilla has always been involved in music since age seven.
He has worked with top producers like Hammer of the Last Two, JQ, Decoder, Odo Nsuo Aquabua and 5th Project Studios. Currently his hit singles ‘Aboo Daa Twoi’, which is about discrimination among women, and ‘3 Points’ are still doing well long after they were released.
