Lizzy after the arrest
A 19-year-old man suspected to be a gay prostitute has been caught having sex with his four clients at Kasoa in the Central Region.
Reports said that passersby caught the suspect, identified only as Lizzy, a hair dresser, having sex with four men on Sunday around 8pm.
His clients immediately escaped when the prostitute was about to be lynched.
The timely intervention of the Police in the area saved him.
He was immediately whisked to the police station by a police patrol team deployed to the scene.
How it happened
Kwame Asare, a second hand bag seller, who witnessed the act, claimed the incident occurred near the Kasoa Station.
“I was in the company of two other friends, and we were going home after selling our wares around 8pm when we spotted a lady in long wig. She was wearing a white dress and having sex with a man while three others waited for their turn.
He said the supposed boyfriend penetrated Lizzy from the back.
“We were so amazed and shouted at them but as soon as the partners saw us approaching, they bolted and left the ‘lady’ behind.
“We realized later that he was a man dressed like a lady.”
He revealed that the incident attracted several persons, including traders, passersby and other onlookers, to the scene, who attempted to lynch the prostitute.
“A police patrol team showed up at the scene to rescue the suspect.”
Another resident, who claimed she lives in the same house with suspect, said residents in the area only know him as Lizzy.
“We all thought she was a woman after moving into the house three months ago, but nobody suspected her to be a prostitute.
“The only thing we know is that she hails from Janado in Akatsi in the Volta Region is a hairdresser,” the neigbour said.
Meanwhile, a source at the Kasoa Police Station, has revealed that the suspect told the police that he charges clients between GH¢30 and GH¢150.
“The suspect claimed he had his own clients who know him to be gay so he dresses and moves to his spot to wait for his clients.
“The suspect said some take him to hotels for sex while others prefer open sex, but he is only interested in money,” the source revealed.
ACP David Agyemang Adjem, the Kasoa Divisional Police Commander, when contacted, confirmed that the suspect had been detained and would be arraigned before court.
“The timely intervention of my men saved the suspected gay (named being withheld) from the traders who attempted to lynch him.
He said the suspect was immediately conveyed to the police station to assist in investigations, adding that he had been provisionally charged.
