Gender Minister Takes Over Ministry

 

The Substantive Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP), Lariba Zuweira Abudu, who was recently appointed by the President has finally taken over.

At a brief meeting held over the weekend the Caretaker Minister and Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, handed over a note to the Minister for the MoGCSP.

Ms Dapaah thanked the Minister (who then was the Deputy Minister) and Management for their cooperation and support during her time at the Ministry as the Caretaker Minister.

She charged the management of the Ministry to extend the same support to the Minister and her Deputy to work towards achieving MoGCSP’s mandate as well as uplifting its image.

The Minister, Hajia Lariba Zuweira Abudu expressed her profound gratitude to Madam Cecilia Dapaah for mentoring her and impactfully contributing towards the growth and success of the Ministry during her tenure.

“I will collaborate with my Deputy, Chief Director, and management to ensure that the President’s vision of ensuring that no one is left behind is achieved,” she said.

Present were the Deputy Minister, Francisca Oteng Mensah, the Chief Director, Dr. Afisah Zakariah, and some Heads of Departments.
