Parliament has approved a budget allocation of GH¢6,371,467,598.00 for the Ministry of Defence for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025.
The approval was granted following extensive deliberations and is set to support the Ministry’s operations and ensure the continued protection and security of the country.
The allocated sum will be used for various defence-related expenditures, including the upkeep of military infrastructure, the procurement of essential equipment, and the strengthening of national security capabilities.
The approval comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the preparedness of the country’s armed forces and address emerging security challenges.
