Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), a collective society for music right owners, has announced that the elections of GHAMRO board members will take place on Tuesday, December 7.
The elections, which will be supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC), would be conducted nationwide to make it relatively easy for all members to vote for their preferred nominees.
Voting will take place at the following centres; Teachers Hall (Accra), Centre for National Culture (Kumasi), Centre for National Culture (Sunyani), Melody Hotel (Takoradi), Asongetaaba Hotel (Bolgatanga), Royal Lodge Hotel (Wa), Centre for National Culture (Cape Coast), Centre for National Culture (Volta), Centre for National Culture (Tamale), Y Good Morning Hotel (Oti).
Members of GHAMRO are expected to cast their votes at the various voting centres to elect new board members for the music rights body.
The 15 aspirants to represent the board members and directors of GHAMRO are made up of music publishers, producers and composers.
They are K.K. Kabobo, Rex Owusu Marfo, Kwame Adinkra, Oheneba Kisi, Diana Hopeson and Kofi Abraham.
Others are Ernest Kwasi Ennin, Francis Boahene, Francis Omari Adofo, Benjamin Mensah and Ruth Benny Wood.
The rest are John Mensah Sarpong, George Ofori Atta, Elizabeth Tagoe and Yaw Agyemang Badu.
GHAMRO gave the assurance that all necessary arrangements have been concluded for successful elections.
