Jussie Smollett
American actor and singer, Jussie Smollett has expressed admiration following his visit to Ghana.
The Empire movie hitmaker, who is currently in Ghana, was seen touring some of the country’s historic places, which include Independence Square, where he was seen with friends and family.
In a post sighted on his Instagram page, which has since generated over 758 comments and thousands of likes, the actor who was seen in a series of pictures at the Independence Square in Accra captioned the post “ I have never been happier…#Home Ghana”.
Jussie Smollett joins the list of Hollywood stars who have visited the motherland following the launch of the Year of Return.
Some of them include Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Glover, Michael Jai White, Boris Kodjoe, Idris Elba, Steve Harvey, Dave Chappelle, and Meek Mill, among others.
Known as one of America’s most versatile actors, Jussie Smollett began his career as a child actor in 1991, debuting in The Mighty Ducks (1992). From 2015 to 2019, Smollett portrayed musician Jamal Lyon in the Fox drama series Empire. Jussie Smollett has received several award nominations for his work, including multiple Teenq Choice Awards and NAACP Image Awards nods for his role in Empire, as well as a BET Award nomination for Best Actor.
