Abraham Boakye (L) presenting an item to one of the members
The Ghana National Supporters Union (GHANSU) has extended a helping hand to its members across the country amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yesterday, the executives of GHANSU presented food items worth thousands of cedis to its members at its Tesano office in Accra.
Each member of the group is entitled to a bag of 5k rice, a bottle of cooking oil, cans of sardines, spaghetti and others.
According to leadership of the group, the members are being contacted one after the other for them to collect their items.
The President of GHANSU, Abraham Boakye (One Man Supporter), said his executives were motivated by the fact that most of their members are traders and artisans.
“The disease is such that if you play the ostrich, you do so at your peril, you can’t live unconcerned because of how it spreads. So we decided to be a blessing to those of our members who will have to travel just for a day’s meal.
“With what we are sharing, numbering over 200 pieces, we believe it will help them stay at least a week at home rather than traveling with the high possibility of contracting it,” he said in a post-presentation interview.
The immediate past Chairman of GHANSU, Nana Kwaku Okyere, now the Mankralo of Ajen Kotoku, urged all to observe all the COVID-19 protocols.
