GhIE, ASCE Sign MoU  

President of GhIE, Ing. Steve Amoaning Yankson  supported by Ing. Kwabena Agyapong exchanging documents

The Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) over the weekend signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) during the ongoing 2018 Convention in Denver, Colorado in the United States of America.

The agreement was signed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Colorado Convention Centre where the conference is being held under the theme, ‘Engineering, Innovation and Leading.’

The agreement would focus on exchange of information regarding the engineering profession in general.

It would particularly highlight the sharing of information on scientific research and technical issues of mutual interest to both bodies.

It would further provide mutual professional advice in areas of emergency response to natural disasters and mitigation of risks and hazards.

President of the GhIE, Ing. Steve Amoaning-Yankson and Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Executive Director, signed for the GhIE while Ing. Robin Kamper, President and Ing Thomas Smith, Executive Director, also signed for ASCE.

In attendance was the chair of the Civil Division of GhIE Ing. Joseph Oddei.
