The National Coordinator in charge of the Monitoring and Evaluation Secretariat, Madam Gifty Ohene- Konadu has charged Focal Persons from Agencies Implementing Priority Programmes of Government to continue to work hard in their various fields.
She said most Ghanaians are already seeing the results of some of the programmes being undertaken by government, but more work needed to be done for all to see the hard work of the President.

“In line with this, we here at the M&E Secretariat, are mandated to monitor the priority projects and programmes, to ensure the government delivers on its promises to Ghanaians.
“As you know, the Secretariat has been working in close collaboration with the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to ensure effective implementation and achievement of the intended goals of government Flagship Programmes”
She said the collaboration so far between the implementing agencies and the Monitoring and Evaluation Secretariat has been very effective and commended them for supporting the secretariat with the needed information about the flagship programmes.
She revealed that from next year, the secretariat will go to all the districts in the country to showcase the various achievements of the programmes for all to see and know that indeed, the government is really working.
“Government is doing very well but the opposition party, for cheap political reasons and propaganda, claims the government is not working.
“With the district showcase, all Ghanaians will witness programmes government is carrying out in their respective areas,” she indicated.

“Per the presentations, we have discovered that a lot has been done, be it in the agric sector, education , transport and others, and we are going to monitor their performance to ensure that government’s projects are well implemented”, she stated.
