Givers Herbal Centre last Saturday received four top awards for its various capsule products at the National Herbal Awards ceremony held in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.
The 2018 Ghana National Herbal Awards was aimed at providing a platform to improve herbal products made in Ghana and also create awareness, loyalty, recognition and prestige for herbal products in the country.
At the glamorous ceremony, Givers capsules swept four separate awards, including the overall “Best Capsules of the Year.”
The other awards won by the company were “Best Man Capsule,” “Best Herbal Package Capsules” and “Best Koo Capsules.”
The company’s creativity in its presentation of the product was also recognised by winning the “Best Herbal Advert of the Year.”
Solomon Kwabi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Givers Herbal Centre, was elated over the successes chalked by the company over the years.
The awards scooped by the company were testimony of the potency of the products manufactured by Givers.
The Ghana National Herbal Awards, instituted by Nyamedua Herbal and Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) made up of herbal experts – is to promote locally made products to consumers and facilitate the discovery of new and life-saving products.
It is supported by the Department of Herbal Medicine of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
It is also aimed at boosting the profile of made-in-Ghana products, as well as expose them to the wider Ghanaian populace.
This year’s award was well attended and saw musical performances by Kakyire Kwame Appiah, Kofi Nti, Mary Agyemang, Ernest Opoku Jnr, Frank Mensah Pozo, among others.
Other award winners were Taabea Mixture, G.P.C. Mixture and Dank Natural Herbal Centre.
