The Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) says its Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) outlets throughout the country have not been closed.

The company said it’s not part of the ongoing strike action by the Ghana Liquefied Petroleum Gas Operators Association (GLiPGOA).

According to the company, all its outlets are open to the public and have abundant gas on sale.

“GOIL will continue to be of service to the general public and assure consumers of uninterrupted service at all times,” a statement issued from the company’s corporate affairs unit stated.

Members of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketing Companies (LPGMCs) have also maintained that they are not part of the nationwide strike which started on Monday.

They are still part of the committee members of the Implementation Committee of the new LPG policy.

Additionally, LPG Tanker Drivers Union has indicated that its members are ready to serve all orders placed by LPGMCs.

It said all GOIL LPG stations across the country are not part of the strike, adding that all Hills Oil (market leader) LPG stations across the country are also not part of the strike.

LPG vending points belonging to Torgbui Adaku and his group of striking operators have remained closed since Monday.

GLiPGOA is demanding that government should discontinue the implementation of the cylinder recirculation module.

It claims the new policy is negatively affecting its members.
