Gospel Musician In Infidelity Drama

Evangelist Akwasi Nyarko

A popular gospel artist, Evangelist Akwasi Nyarko, had a shock of his life when a lady walked into the studio during a live radio programme to claim she was having an affair with the musician.

The musician was on air trumpeting that he had not been engaging in infidelity when the mistress dropped the bombshell last Tuesday.

The music evangelist was attempting to ‘rescue’ his four-year-old marriage with his wife, Esther, on a Kumasi-based Nhyira FM but had his interview gatecrashed by a woman from Obuasi in the Ashanti Region who claimed she was dating the musician.

Esther had revealed how her husband was flirting around, and in one instance, attempted to sexually assault her 16-year-old niece who was under their care when his alleged mistress popped up in the studio and broke the news about her affair with Akwasi Nyarko.

The woman from Obuasi then entered the studio and said she had been having an affair with Mr. Nyarko, unknown to his wife, and that the amorous relation had produced a child.

Following the revelation by the mistress, the evangelist admitted that indeed he had an affair with the Obuasi-based woman and that they had a child, but added that this was not done out of wedlock.

According to Akwasi Nyarko, he was in an amorous relationship with the woman before he got married and swore that he had remained faithful to his wife.

He threatened to invoke curses and even requested for an egg and schnapps, intimating that he started the affair four years before he wedded Esther.

He pledged to take care of his four-year-old daughter with the said mistress and his two-year-old child with the wife.

But Esther, who would not budge, insisted on walking out of the marriage, announcing her decision to proceed to court and have the marriage annulled over the embarrassment she has endured over the years in the hands of the musician.
