Gov’t Urged To Tackle Wastage

THE GHANA Foundation for Sustainable Wealth Creation (GFSWC) has urged government to make a conscious effort in eradicating what it termed as wanton wastage of resources at the disposal of state agencies, departments and ministries.

GFSWC made the call on Thursday in Accra during the introduction of Management 5.0 and a proposed national agenda for Ghana.

Management 5.0 is a new management concept which provides, among other things, new ways of mobilizing human resources, dealing with resources, planning as well as formulating and executing strategies.

Executive Chairman of GFSWC, Abu Millah in a presentation at the launch bemoaned that there was too much wastage, greed and ignorance within the Ghanaian society which was making it impossible for every Ghanaian to live a dignified life.

“The foundation is therefore advocating, promoting, campaigning, championing and directing the avoidance of waste, ignorance and greed in society using Management 5.0 and a Proposed National Agenda,” he said.

“The Proposed National Agenda is about avoiding waste, ignorance and greed in everything we do in Ghana,” he noted, adding that “the overall aim of the Proposed National Agenda is to make Ghana a better place for all; that is to create a Ghana without so much poverty, unemployment, corruption, conflict, crime, violence, debt, sickness and climate change.”

According to him, Ghana needs Management 5.0 as a national agenda to sustainably develop and transform.

“Ghanaians need to be on the same page or platform of knowledge to sustainably develop and transform the country,” he said

“Every Ghanaian needs to build capacity in management 5.0 so we can collectively use the same reference to deal with the challenges confronting the country.”
