GPCC Sympathises With Korankye Ankrahs

The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic  Council (GPCC), a unified body of Christ that propagates the Gospel to meet both spiritual and physical needs yesterday paid a courtesy call to sympathize with Founder of and general overseers of Royalhouse Chapel International, Ahenfie, Apostle General, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah and his family over the passing of his in-laws Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Owusu.

At a brief ceremony at his residence in Accra, GPCC President, Eric Nyamekye in his words of exhortation commiserated with the bereaved family, admonishing them to remain firm in the Lord amidst the storms that have confronted the family following the passing of the in-laws.

“We are here to sympathize with you and the family and also encourage you not to relent as you shoulder a lot of responsibilities as a leader of a congregation. Around this time of preparation for burial, there is a lot of confusion between families. Endeavour not to engage in any quarrels, just have the mindset of burying your in-laws in peace” he said.

According to the Apostle General, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, the passing of his in-laws came as a shock to the family as both died within a month.

He said the mother-in-law who lived till 88 was a resilient strong woman who found pleasure in helping people while the husband (Father-in-law) was incapacitated for years due to a rocket blast at a stone quarrying site and survived four fatal accidents which included multiple surgeries, was a renowned contractor known for the construction of religious churches died at 92 following the passing of his wife.

“My mother-in-love was a selfless woman who at her age was taking care of her husband who was severely injured and passed away after a short illness. Exactly one month my father-in-law died shortly after the sad news of the passing of his wife,” he said.

Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah announced that the funeral arrangements will kick-start with a solemn wake-keeping on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Royalhouse Chapel International at 10 a.m. The funeral service will be held at the Roman Catholic Church, Martyrs of Uganda at Mamprobi on Friday, October 6, 2023, while on Sunday, October 8, 2023 the thanksgiving ceremony will be held at the Oil Dome at the Royalhouse Chapel International.

He further expressed gratitude to the executives of GPCC, saying, “your coming here gives the family the strength it needs to help us pass through this difficult phase of our lives, please remember us in prayers”.

Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah called on all and sundry to join hands with the family as they bid their final farewell to the late Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Owusu.
