GSA Honours Qualiplast, GOIL

Prof Alex Dodoo, GSA Director-General, assisted by Dr Prince Kludjeson, to present the award to Shady Salloum, Qualiplast, General Manager

Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) and Qualiplast Limited were recently adjudged the first and second runners-up respectively at the 6th AGI Industry and Quality awards held in Accra.

The overall winner was Total Petroleum Ghana Limited.

The quality awards was organized to publicly recognize businesses in the manufacturing and service sectors that have made lasting commitment to the process of adopting quality, as well as achieving outstanding standards of quality.

The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) organized the event in collaboration with the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA).

The event will be organized annually to encourage industries to pay attention to quality issues during their manufacturing and service delivery.

Shady Salloum, General Manager, Qualiplast, reiterated their resolve to uphold and maintain quality standards in their operations and was proud of what they have been able to achieve.

On his part, Dr Prince Kludjeson of the AGI, said both AGI and GSA would collaborate to ensure that Ghanaian industries become productive and competitive through the application of standards.

Director-General of GSA, Professor Alex Dodoo, expressed his delight at the achievement of the companies and expressed the hope that the award would spur the companies to greater heights.
