Charger CEO (4th L), coach Boadu (R) and some of hearts players.
The CEO of Charger Group Limited, producers of Happy man bitters, Dr. Emmanuel Borketey Bortey, has extended a helping hand (cash) to the coach of Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu on his victory over Morocco giants, Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) on Sunday.
The CEO together with Frempong Nkosuohene-Manson, International Brand Ambassador of Charger Group made an undisclosed donation to the playing body after the game in Accra.
He said the gesture was to urge the team on to go the extra mile in the return fixture in Morocco, having posted a 1-0 win over the North Africans three days ago.
“This is just a token to encourage them to go all out in the second leg. We believe they will be guided by the ‘Never say die’ spirit to return home with good results. They have what it takes to do themselves and Ghana proud,” said Dr. Borketey Bortey.
He added, “If they qualify to the Group stage, we will show them love again. They should remain focused. We believe they can make it.”
Hearts won the first leg 1-0 at the Accra Stadium.
