Renowned Hollywood movie stars, Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Tiffany Haddish are ready to film part two of Girls Trip in Ghana.
Tracy Oliver who co-wrote the 2017 Girls Trip with Kenya Barris, made this known in an exclusive interview on the popular American late-night program, “Variety Show”.
She stated that the ladies would travel to Ghana and that is where a majority of the scenes would be shot for Girls Trip 2.
“The original Girls Trip cast which starred popular black American movie stars the aforementioned actresses will reunite again in Ghana for the much-anticipated sequel of the movie” she revealed.
Afrofuture (formerly Afrochella) will be filmed as part of the movie as Oliver confirmed that the ladies of “Girls Trip” will look to attend the festival.
The Girls Trip is an American comedy movie about four groups of friends who went to New Orleans to attend the Essence Music Festival too to reconnect after a long time.
Girls Trip first premiered at the American Black Film Festival in Miami on June 14, 2017 and was theatrically released in the United States by Universal Pictures on July 21, 2017.
It received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics, with many praising the cast performances and the film’s originality.
